Doctor's confirmation of phytophotodermatitis

A visit to the doc confirmed what i had previously read regarding my condition.
He prescribed steroids for me and assured me that it would clear up in a few days.

A lesson had been taught and taken on board.Mother nature's way of saying "Back off".

My very own case of phytophototoxicity

While gently strimming away on the perimeter of a sunny landfill site in cornwall, i thought i would take of my T-shirt and enjoy the midday sun.Predictably, i was smattered with the shredded remains of hogweed, nettles and other streamside dwellers.Unbeknownst to me is that these succulent shreds contained a chemical known as psoralens!!! When this stuff comes into contact with human skin, it increases the skin's succeptability to UV radiation damage and the results in my case is a severe rash that is dotted with hundreds and i do mean hundreds of small water filled bullae. You know what a blister feels like when it is popped, yes, painfull!!! Well i have hundreds of these fun filled beauties to look forward to.Taking a shower is an absolute dream, Not! I must say that otherwise i am relativly pain free!!!

I think i will go for the paper suit option next time.It will be very uncomfortable to wear but i am sure it will be worth it!
